In this role, you will:

  • Provide exceptional customer experience in all inter-actions, in a polite professional courteous manner
  • Install all equipment and cables with due diligence and pride in workmanship
  • Educate customers on the full functionality of their new products and services
  • Apply technical and problem-solving skills to identify and fix customer service problems in the home
  • Promote and sell new products and/or services to customers where appropriate
  • Drive with care and attention and follow all posted signage enroute to complete calls
  • Provide an overview of the work scope for the customer if available before proceeding to complete installation
  • Handle with care and be accountable to maintain all company tools, equipment, and vehicles, including the customers residents’ premises
  • Having flexibility to work later than scheduled to complete work orders that are in high demand for installation or resolution.
  • Always being Safety Conscious and able to adhere to an intensely structured safety program

The ideal candidate brings:
 
  • Experience operating everyday hand tools safely and confidently
  • Maintain a valid BC Class 5 driver’s license and provision of a clean driver’s abstract (within the last 6 months)
  • Physically fit enough to lift and carry 70lbs
  • Can perform duties in many challenging environments including outdoors and from heights
  • A strong technical aptitude and general interest in the field; must enjoy working with technology
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Self-organized with the ability to prioritize and balance workloads without oversight
  • Safety Conscious Attitude with a Customer Focus Personality
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Exceptional cleanliness and high organizational standards
  • Previous experience working in an outdoor environment independently
  • A strong technical aptitude, able to work with ladders, tools, and minimal supervision
  • Working at heights is a MUST and installers must be comfortable with ladder handling
  • Ability to manage a physically demanding position which involves sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting, and working at heights
  • Previous experience with TELUS or Shaw is an asset
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Must be willing to travel to various locations from time to time
  • Self-motivated, ability to prioritize and organize workloads
  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience in the industry
  • Criminal Background check and a Drivers Abstract will be required upon hiring
 
Having the following Safety Certifications will be considered an asset (but not necessary):
  • Aerial Lift certificate
  • WHMIS and Power Awareness certification are assets
  • Defensive driving certification
  • First Aid Level 1
  • Traffic control, TCP/TMP
